Houston Homes - The good life is in Houston, Texas!
Houston offers diversity in both culture and industry. There are 90 languages spoken in Houston and Houston is the 4th most populous city in the United States. Its metropolitan area is larger than Rhode Island, and Houston's economy is bigger than Hong Kong's. Houston has the world's largest medical center, including its top rated St. Luke's Hospital. Known as "The Bayou City", Houston has the nations 2nd busiest port. The climate is typically very mild which makes outdoor activities available year-round. You can fish and play golf in December just a practically as you can in June. And yes, the temperature is above average from mid June to mid September, but Houston has air conditioning to check the temporary discomfort. Other areas do not have that advantage because they can't control their brown outs, their tornados, their snow and ice storms, the earthquakes, their forest fires and/or their bad-mannered people. And for nine months out of every year, Houston's climate is fabulous. With the cost of living about 10 percent lower than the national average, and the housing cost about 30 percent lower, Houston, and particularly Northwest Houston, Spring, Klein and Cypress, is a perfect place to raise your family or retire to a full lifestyle. While the National median price for a home is $174,000, and places like San Francisco, California have median price housing of $520,000, Houston's median price is $125,000. And when you live in Houston, you will not pay state or city income taxes.
An incredible list of cultural, entertainment and occupational attractions are within a 45-minute drive of Northwest Houston and Spring, Klein and Cypress, including a world-class theater district, NASA's Johnson Space Center, a wide array of parks and a variety of museums. Sporting attractions are an integral part of living in Houston, and one will not want to miss events at the Houston Astros' Minute Maid Park, the Houston Texans' Reliant Stadium (site of the 2002 Super Bowl), Sam Houston Race Park and The Houston Center, the new downtown arena and home of the Houston Rockets and Houston Comets. For fishing, boating and fun in the sun, Houston has many bodies of water located nearby, including the Gulf of Mexico, Lake Livingston and Lake Conroe. Houston boasts of several convention centers, George R. Brown, the Astrodome Complex, and the Humble Civic Center. In Northwest Houston, and in Spring, Klein and Cypress, you'll experience incredible performances at The Centrum and at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion. The soon to be completed Barbara Bush library will be an incredible 32,000 square feet facility and will include room for over 116,000 books and 50 public access computers. Houston has over 9,000 accessibly affordable restaurants, plus AstroWorld, WaterWorld and the Kemah Boardwalk.

Great curb appeal goes a long way toward attracting buyers to a home that is for sale. Many of our sales have been generated by a "For Sale" sign in front of a home that is beautifully landscaped. Prospective buyers who admire a home's exterior often prove to be among the most interested in the property.
An investment in attractive landscaping can help your home sell more quickly. If you have a moderately green thumb, you can get a lot of free advice from local nurseries. They can give you tips on what will look good in your yard, considering the time of year, the available light, and the type of plants that do well in the area. You will probably be able to choose from many attractive low-maintenance plants that will add color and vitality to your yard. Whatever the season, a few dollars invested in your front yard will usually reap much greater benefits than your original investment.
