Reasons to Relocate to the Houston area
If you already live in Houston or it's surrounding areas such as the Outer Loop, Cypress, Tomball, Spring, Klein, The Woodlands, you know how incredible it is to live here. If you are considering relocating to work at one of our many businesses, hospitals or universities you may have some questions or concerns.
Let me assure you, you can fish and play golf in December just as practically as you can in June.
The temperature is sometimes above average from mid June to mid September, but Houston has air conditioning so you can remain comfortable during the temporary warm spells. We can also boast a lack of brown outs, tornados, snow and ice storms, earthquakes and forest fires. For nine months out of every year, Houston's climate is fabulous.
With the cost of living about 18 percent lower than the national average, and the housing cost about 39 percent lower, Houston, and particularly Northwest Houston, Spring, Klein and Cypress, are the perfect place to raise your family or retire to a full lifestyle. While the National median price for a home is $172,100, and places like San Francisco, California have median price housing of $493,300, Houston's median price is $153,100. And when you live in Houston, you will not pay state or city income taxes.

Titles >Liens Against the Title
Occasionally homeowners who are trying to sell their home are surprised to learn that their title is encumbered by a lien. There are several types of liens; the most common are mechanic's or contractor's liens.
The lien (or debt) must be paid off in order to be cleared. If the owner prefers to challenge the lien, he can release it by posting a bond, pending adjudication. In some types of liens, a title search may disclose claims against the property by an ex-spouse or long-ago heir of a former owner. A simple "quitclaim" deed may be used in these cases. By signing the deed, the person involved signs over whatever rights he or she might have, without laying any claim to the property.
Most real estate transactions involve at least some minor unresolved issues on the part of either the buyer or the seller. This is where an experienced real estate agent can provide solutions to resolve the issues and conclude the sale.
